  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 3/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Christmas Sprinkles

GLAZE

  • 1 1/4 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes).
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined then mix in the sour cream and milk.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon).
  5. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until completely combined.
  6. Fold in 1/2 cup of the sprinkles gently with a spatula.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 65 minutes.  Once out of the oven, let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
  8. Make the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla. Pour the icing over the cooled bread and smooth it out with a spatula.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining sprinkles then slice and serve.
